Tracy Jamel Morgan was born in The Brox, New York, on November 10, 1986. He was born to a homemaker mother and a musician father. Moreover, Morgan completed graduation from DeWitt Clinton High School. Following that, he enrolled in a diploma.

In July 2014, Tracy, while traveling in a minibus after a show on George Washington Bridge, got hit by a Walmart truck. He was severely injured and filed a lawsuit against Walmart.
